Raytheon Intelligence & Space (RIS) recently supported the junior high OFFensive Swarm-Enabled Tactics (OFFSET), DARPA program field workouts.
During this field exercise, in a single operator successfully controlled another swarm using integrated swarm technology developed by a Raytheon BBN-led team. And the swarm, composed of 130 paper drone platforms and fifty simulated drone platforms, been recently operated in both indoor and outdoor settings.
The team implemented a combination of commercial off-the-shelf together with custom-built hardware and software to deliver swarm autonomy.
